    A wide, round headed tree which is stunning when in flower. Its a smaller, more compact growing horse chestnut with large dark green fan shaped leaves. Giant pink red candle type flowers have a hint of yellow in the throat and adorn the tree in spring early and early summer. Excellent shade, avenue, park or paddock tree.

    Makes rapid growth. Large unusual lyre-shaped leaves cut square at the apex turn butter yellow in Autumn. Clean trunk and spreading branches. Fragrant tulip like flowers appear late spring greenish yellow with an orange band at base. Tolerates clay soil but avoid overly wet soils. Grows to apx 10 x 6m in 10 yrs, can attain 30 x 15m at maturity

    • Description
    A very upright form of liriodendron tulipifera with a columnar growth habit. Unusual, green lyre-shaped leaves turn butter yellow in autumn. Fragrant, tulip like flowers appear late spring which are a greenish yellow with an orange band at base. Adaptable to clay soil, though best suited to well-drained conditions to avoid excessive moisture.
